About Éditions du patrimoine
Éditions du patrimoine is the publishing division of the Centre des Monuments Nationaux and the designated publisher for the heritage departments of the Ministry of Culture.
Introduction
Reporting on research and disseminating knowledge
In fulfilling this public service remit, Éditions du patrimoine aims, on the one hand, to report on the latest research findings in fields as varied as built and movable heritage, architecture, art history and archaeology, and, on the other hand, to disseminate knowledge of heritage to a wide audience.
With some fifteen distinct series – guides, coffee-table books, children’s books, theoretical texts and academic publications – Éditions du patrimoine caters to enthusiasts and professionals, students and researchers, as well as children and specific audiences.
A catalogue featuring over 700 titles
With over forty new titles published each year – either independently or in collaboration with the private sector – the catalogue now comprises 500 guides, monographs, art books and journals, many of which are available in several languages. In total, there are over 700 titles that reflect the richness of the heritage managed by the Centre des monuments nationaux and its various partners.
Éditions du Patrimoine attends various events each year, such as the Frankfurt Book Fair, the Fontainebleau Art History Festival and the Rendez-vous de l’Histoire in Blois.

At the Hôtel de Sully bookshop
You can find our entire catalogue in bookshops, particularly in the bookshops of the Centre des monuments nationaux and at the Hôtel de Sully bookshop in Paris. The latter stocks the full range of titles available from Éditions du patrimoine. Furthermore, it boasts a collection unrivalled in France covering history, architecture, fine arts and applied arts, literature, gardens and photography, organised by region and theme. The bookshop is open from Tuesday to Sunday, from 1 pm to 7 pm.
