Introduction
The Centre des monuments nationaux recognises the importance of protecting your personal data and your privacy. As the data controller, the Centre des monuments nationaux collects and processes your data in compliance with the regulations relating to the protection of personal data, in particular Law No. 78-17 of 6 January 1978 relating to information technology, files and freedoms and the General Data Protection Regulation (G.D.P.R.) of 27 April 2016 No. 2016/679.

Who are we?
As the data controller, the Centre des monuments nationaux, a public administrative establishment under the supervision of the Ministry of Culture, establishes what data is collected, how it is used and how it is protected.
The Centre des monuments nationaux, in consultation with its service providers Almavia CX and Steamulo, collects, processes and secures your data in compliance with the applicable personal data protection legislation(i.e. Regulation (EU) 2016/679 and the national texts adopted on this basis).
Why do we collect your Personal Data?
The Centre for National Monuments will collect Personal Data in the following cases:
- the sending of a message by the Internet user to the Centre des monuments nationaux via the contact forms.
The data is collected by the Internet user filling in text fields.
What data do we process?
Below is the data that we may collect:
Sending a message using the contact form
The collection of personal data in the context of an exchange with an Internet user is based on legitimate interest.
The following data is collected
- compulsorily, the choice of subject about which the Internet user wishes to inform the Centre des monuments nationaux ;
- compulsorily, the e-mail address (in order to send the surfer a reply to his/her message, and solely for this purpose);
- any personal data transmitted by the surfer via their message or attachment. This data is kept for as long as is necessary to process the file and is then deleted.
Cookies and audience measurement
This site uses mandatory cookies of a technical nature; they are necessary for the proper functioning of the service and cannot therefore be deactivated.
Audience measurement is carried out by Matomo, an open source software which protects data and privacy. Matomo is self-hosted by the Centre des monuments nationaux. The use of cookies deposited by Matomo is exempt from consent as the latter is configured for the strict purpose of audience measurement on behalf of the Centre des monuments nationaux only, and is only used to produce anonymous statistical data.
This site uses an optional cookie to enable video playback using the YouTube player.
With whom do we share your Personal Data?
With the exception of data relating to audience measurement, your data is hosted and transmitted via Steamulo, the host of the Centre des monuments nationaux websites.
Apart from this, we do not share your personal data.
Your rights
At any time and free of charge, you may contact the Centre des monuments nationaux by e-mail at webmaster@monuments-nationaux.fr in order to :
- access your Personal Data and obtain a copy ;
- rectify your Personal Data;
- request the deletion of your personal data;
- request the portability of your personal data in the cases and within the limits provided for by Regulation (EU) 2016/679 ;
- request compensation for any damage you may have suffered as a result of the breach of your personal data.
To exercise these rights, you may be asked to provide proof of your identity.

What security do we guarantee for your Personal Data?
Your personal data is processed securely thanks to the appropriate measures that we have put in place to prevent any breach. We restrict access to it to strictly authorised recipients.
We also have procedures in place to detect and deal with any breaches. If necessary, you will be notified in accordance with the applicable regulations.
