Visiting the Marta Pan - André Wogenscky Foundation
From April to October, the Marta Pan - André Wogenscky Foundation opens its doors to the public in partnership with the Centre des monuments nationaux.
The history of the Marta Pan - André Wogenscky Foundation
Located in Saint-Rémy-lès-Chevreuse, the house-workshop and its sculpture park offer an exceptional immersion into the world of the sculptor Marta Pan and the architect André Wogenscky, two major figures in the creation of the XXᵉ century. The couple chose to settle in the Vallée de Chevreuse in 1952 to live and express their respective creativity away from the hustle and bustle of the city and society.
This place, a reflection of their intellectual and artistic complicity, has been preserved and became the Marta Pan - André Wogenscky Foundation in 2011, recognised as being of public utility. The 7,000 square metre park contains around twenty sculptures by Marta Pan, in wood, marble or steel. The house, with its clean lines, was designed by André Wogenscky and was at once their place of life, work, research and inspiration.
Exceptional guided tours
Tours are organised one Saturday a month, twice a day.
Led by a guide from the Centre des Monuments Nationaux, the tours last around 1 hour 30 minutes and enable visitors to discover the house-workshop, designed as a permanent dialogue between sculpture and architecture, as well as the park and the sculpture complex.
