Introduction
The Vocabulaires collection enables everyone to use the same words, giving them the same meanings and applying them to the same objects or processes. In each discipline covered, all the words relating to typologies, forms and techniques are thus very precisely defined, accompanied by an illustration chosen with equal precision. Created by André Malraux and André Chastel, this collection is overseen by the Directorate-General for Heritage and Architecture, Ministry of Culture.
